About Us
Purple Bees has been offering the highest quality childcare for children in our community aged 0-5 years.
We, both as parents and practitioners, have a responsibility to give our children the greatest start in life and to nurture their natural desire to learn. At Purple Bees, we aim to create a strong foundation for a child's education.
As you may be aware, life on this planet cannot exist without Bees.
Scientists have said due to the size of the bees wings it’s physically impossible for it to lift its own body weight up and fly.
But it flies anyway.
If the bees had listened to those scientists, and told themselves that they can’t fly, life on this planet would not exist…
…it’s their ability to take seeds from one plant to the next, allows pollination to occur, which allows the world to continue to survive and live on...
…and pollination is essential for us to get the necessary food and oxygen we need.
So how does this relate back to you? Good question…

…and the Bees… well, that’s your child’s adored Practitioner.
We know that the seeds of knowledge, care and compassion must be given from our Practitioner to your child to allow them to blossom into beautiful flowers.

The Early Years Foundation Stage
At Purple Bees, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a government framework for learning, development and care of children from birth until the age of five.
Its purpose is to provide all children with the best possible learning opportunities and experiences to help each child reach their full potential. This will ensure that your child is ready for school when they leave Purple Bees and graduate to the next stage of their educational journey.

Nutrition at Purple Bees
We offer two home-cooked hot meals per day, as well as having healthy snacks available at certain times during the morning and afternoon sessions. Younger babies have a separate weaning menu and we will work closely with you to ensure that the individual needs of your child are met.
We encourage the older children to develop independence by allowing them to self-serve their own food, and we aim to include educational elements wherever possible, by discussing the source of the ingredients and getting the children involved in mealtime preparations to create a happy, sociable experience.
Our wide choice of menus reflects the cultural diversity of our little diners and of course, we cater for all allergies and other dietary requirements. We offer a carefully designed mix of familiar foods as well as encouraging children to explore new tastes and sensations. We will keep you updated with what your child likes and dislikes and will share our recipes with you if you would like to cook the same meals at home.

We Include French, Music & Spanish Lessons All For FREE!
Did you know that every week we have external teachers into the nursery. We have French on one week, followed by Music Masters the next week. Here's Clare talking about what she's been up to this week at Fairytales .
